Metal is the raw construction material for buildings and units. In a standard skirmish/multiplayer match, players begin with a number of open metal deposits under their control.
The base income of an open metals deposit is 0.5 s-1. Additional income can generated by building extractors/harvesters on top of these deposits, building Amplifiers on top of the Power Generators to which the deposits belong, and boosting the Power Generators with global abilities.
